Tickets for the Santa Express are £5 per person OFF-PEAK (Mon-Thu) and £6 per person during PEAK periods (Fri-Sun and holidays)
(£0.50p booking fee applies when booking online – Children aged 0-2yrs are free with a paying adult, but must sit on the adults lap.)

The Santa Express is open to all age groups. However, passengers under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please see the link for the directions to the centre, and follow signs for the Oasis and Orange car park area.  Please note there are 12000 car parking spaces available (be mindful of heavy traffic at peak times).

The train can accommodate 44 people in total, in rows of 4.  For bookings of 12 or more please email info@santaexpressatmeadowhall.com

We will do our upmost to get you on the next suitable slot, but please be mindful that we expect sessions to book up quickly.

We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your chosen time (please allow for heavy traffic during peak times).  The Santa Express experience will last 30 – 40 minutes, with 15 minutes on the actual train ride.

The train carriages are in rows of 4 and we always try and sit families / groups next to / opposite each other where possible, however, we cannot always guarantee this.

We suggest prebooking as we anticipate sessions will book up quickly, and therefore best to avoid disappointment, however, we do accept cash and card payments on the day itself, from £5 off peak times and £6 peak times.

The experience takes place outside and whilst the station waiting area is covered and there is a roof on the train, we advise customers to wrap up warm and dry for the duration of the experience.

Please be aware, there are no gifts with this experience but Santa will be handing out chocolate treats for all!

Please bring your confirmation email with QR code, either on your phone or hard copy if you prefer.

The Santa part of the experience will be with the rest of the train passengers, and will last approximately 15 – 20 mins.  Our elves will try and make sure everybody gets a chance to have a picture with Santa however, this cannot be guaranteed.

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance to us and we will continue to monitor and respond to the latest Coronavirus (COVID-19) government guidance .

We will be implementing all required Covid-19 safety procedures in line with the most up to date Government guidance and regulations. 

We will be sanitising the train and other surfaces in between routes and there will be sanitisers available for you to use.

The train ride experience at Meadowhall is an amazing experience bringing an authentic traditional land train to the be enjoyed by many. However, using a traditional authentic land train comes with its own difficulties.

Whilst we will do everything in our power to make the experience available to all, we are limited by the restrictions of using an authentic traditional land train, as we are unable to make alterations to the engineered structure of the carriage.
